Privacy policy

Article 1 (Information collected)

1　When you sign in with a Google or LINE account (the “sign-in feature”), this site receives the identifier the service issues for you and stores a value derived from it one-way with a secret key held only by this site (the “user ID”). The original identifier is not stored.

2　In the sign-in feature, this site does not store your name, email address, profile picture, phone number or any other information that directly identifies you. If information received from Google includes an email address or the like, this site does not use it and discards it immediately. For LINE, we do not request profile information or email addresses.

3　This site stores the contents of the watchlist and portfolio registered by signed-in users (stocks, share counts, amounts, cost per share or gain/loss, etc.) linked to the user ID.

4　If you don’t use the sign-in feature, your watchlist and portfolio are stored only in your browser and are not sent to this site’s server.

5　Only when a signed-in user signs up for LINE notifications (“LINE alerts”), this site stores the identifier issued for that user by LY Corporation (the LINE user ID) as the destination. This site does not obtain the LINE display name, profile picture or other information.

Article 2 (Purpose of use)

This site uses the information obtained under the preceding article only for the following purposes.

(1) Authenticating users and keeping them signed in
(2) Saving watchlists and portfolios and syncing them across devices
(3) Sending notices about watchlist and portfolio stocks to users who have signed up for LINE alerts
(4) Preventing misuse and maintaining and improving the service
(5) Improving the service by understanding and analyzing how this site is used

Article 3 (Cookies and external transmission)

1　This site uses cryptographically signed cookies containing a user ID and expiry date to keep you signed in. It also uses your browser’s local storage to save display settings, watchlists and the like. This site does not use cookies for advertising.

2　To understand usage and improve the service, this site uses Google LLC’s access analytics service, Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to send Google LLC information about your usage, such as the URLs of pages you view, the time of viewing, the referring page, your browser and device type, screen size, approximate location estimated from your IP address, and actions on this site (search terms, button taps, etc.).Google LLC. This information does not include your name, email address or other directly identifying information, or the user ID described in the preceding article. 3　You can disable cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop this information from being sent.

4　The preceding two paragraphs also serve as the public notice under Article Article -12 of Japan’s Telecommunications Business Act regarding the external transmission of user information.

Article 4 (Provision to third parties)

Except as required by law, this site does not provide information obtained under Article to third parties.

Article 5 (External services)

The sign-in feature and LINE alerts use Google LLCGoogle LLC and LY Corporation’s authentication and messaging services. For usage analysis, as described in paragraph 2 of the preceding article, we use Google Analytics provided by Google LLC . Article 6 (Account closure and data deletion)

While signed in, you can stop LINE alerts at any time by choosing “Turn off LINE alerts” from “Signed in” at the top right. The LINE user ID stored on our server is then deleted.

While signed in, you can close your account at any time by choosing “Close account” from “Signed in” at the top right. When you do, the user ID stored on our server and all data linked to it are deleted immediately.

Article 7 (Security)

This site takes reasonable security measures for the information it stores, including encrypted communication and access restrictions.

Article 8 (Changes to this policy)

This site may change this policy as needed. The revised policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.
